Work Management

What happens after the deal closes shouldn't live in someone's head. Monday is where we put it.

our verdict

Monday.com is the best answer we've found to the closed-won cliff, the moment a deal exits HubSpot and delivery begins in… vibes. Deal closes, project board appears, onboarding runs on rails. It's visual enough that people actually use it, which beats powerful-but-abandoned every time. Know going in: the native HubSpot sync is one-way and plan-gated, so real integrations usually mean the Pro tier or middleware. We'll tell you which before you spend a dollar.

What it does

  • Boards with 15+ views (Kanban, Gantt, timeline, workload), your process, visible, finally.
  • No-code automations + 40+ native integrations.
  • Dashboards that aggregate up to 50 boards, cross-project reporting for ops leads.
  • A whole product family (Work Management, CRM, dev, service) plus AI blocks and agents.
  • Forms, docs, time tracking, guest access for clients.

The HubSpot integration, honestly

What works natively: recipe-based triggers sync HubSpot contacts, companies, and deals into Monday boards. The killer recipe: deal hits closed-won in HubSpot → delivery board auto-created in Monday. Sales-to-delivery handoff stops depending on someone remembering.

The fine print nobody leads with:

  • The native sync is effectively one-way (HubSpot → Monday). True two-way sync needs middleware, Zapier, Make, or a dedicated sync app. We build this regularly; it's fine, but it's not "click connect."
  • Only standard HubSpot properties sync natively. Custom properties (i.e., the ones that matter) need the middleware route.
  • Integration recipes consume Monday's integration-actions quota. Standard plan's 250 actions/month evaporates in days with a live sync, Pro (25k/month) is the realistic floor. Budget for Pro or don't budget for the integration.
how we do it

How we implement it

  1. 1Map the handoff: what sales knows that delivery needs, encoded as board columns.
  2. 2Build the closed-won recipe + board templates per service/product line.
  3. 3Middleware layer for custom properties and write-back where the process needs it.
  4. 4Dashboards for the ops lead + automation so statuses update themselves.

Free$02 seats, kick the tires
Basic$9/seat/moNo integrations, skip
Standard$12/seat/moIntegrations, but 250 actions/mo
Pro$19/seat/mo25k actions/mo, the real HubSpot floor

3-seat minimum, then seat buckets (5, 10, 15…), a 6-person team pays for 10. Factor that in before the sticker math.

For

teams of ~5–200 running client delivery, onboarding, or marketing ops alongside HubSpot; non-technical teams who want automation without code.

Not for

anyone expecting native two-way CRM sync (that's middleware territory), solos and pairs (seat buckets punish you), or heavy automators trying to survive on Standard's action limits. Asana and ClickUp are the honest alternatives.
